I’m Brent Flentje, and I’m terrible at talking about myself but I’m great at embracing things I’m terrible at, so here goes - born November 22nd, 1993, I’m a senior marketing strategist, digital campaign leader, and brand builder. I’ve drifted through life as a shapeshifter - multiple cross-country moves will do that to just about anyone. I think.

I overthink pretty much everything. Write a lot of stuff I never show anyone. I care about how things feel—not just how they look. I fall in love with ideas quickly and get bored just as fast. I think things are only beautiful when they’re honest. I’ve done a lot of work that sounds impressive on paper, but I’m prouder of the in-betweens: the strange gut feelings I pursued, the bts “yes, and” conversations, the lessons I’ve learned from creatives across all disciplines. This site is a bit of all that + some photos.

Having a portfolio site is sort of a pre-requisite for any creative [adjacent] professional these days, and while I plan to upload my work at some point, I primarily want to use this site as an outlet - one that suits my needs as they shift. I notice & feel a lot in my day-to-day, some of it worth sharing, most of it I just find sort of fascinating for one reason or another.

All-in-all, I just want to start sharing my thoughts and getting back into a healthy rhythm with writing once again. It’s unfortunately been too long.
I currently work for The Boston Beer Company, managing the creative communications for a small handful of medium-sized brands. Beer is suitable for me - not because alcohol but because it’s a catalyst for communion. I love contributing to work that physically brings people together in an increasingly more isolating world.

If anyone ends up reading this & somehow enjoys or gets something from it, I’d love to connect. I relish meeting likeminded weirdos and interested folk alike.
